Boomtown Fair to unveil first hydrogen powered stage

More encouraging news for sustainable power solutions for events. Boomtown Fair will this year include a new stage powered entirely by hydrogen. The 65,999-capacity event, part owned by Live Nation, will take place at the Matterley Estate from 10-15 August with a lineup including Maribou State, Sex Pistols and Sean Paul.

Boomtown said it will be called the new ‘HYDRO’ stage. The stage will be powered by Hydrogen fuel cell generators which produce clean, emission-free electricity, only emitting water vapour as a by-product, with the aim of lowering supply chain CO2e emissions and reduce local and on-site emissions.
